1893 World's Columbian Exposition Stamps? or Seals? I'm really not sure what to call these or if they're considered "Cinderella Stamps" or what they are or were used for. Two of them do say Chicago 1893 and the other 2 do say Chicago, so I think they may be from the 1893 world's fair but can't be 100% positive so please check them out and see what you think before bidding. All 4 are different.....the lower 2 in the photo almost look the same but if you look close the text is larger on one and the feathers on the bird are not as full on one too. Just slightly different but cool to have an example of both. The round ones measure approximately 1-1/2" in diameter and the squared off one is about 1" square. If you happen to know more about what these are or what they're called, please let me know. I have an example of each for my collection too so it would be nice to have more info on them.
I did a quick google translate on the round items and the upper left translated to "the Reich commissioner for the world exhibition" I think maybe "Reich" might mean German for that piece. The lower 2 items translated to "imperial german consulate Chicago Ill" but don't say for 1893.
I do combine shipping on multiple items so please take a look at my other listings.
