empty vintage brass Coty perfume bottle holder, brass case for mini bottle

Description

Here is an empty brass and plastic case that used to hold a miniature perfume bottle by Coty. The case is 2.5 inches X 1.5 inches X 5/8ths of an inch. To open it, use one finger to push the small blue button on the side of the case. While keeping that button held down, use your other hand to pull upward on the lid at the same side where the button is located. This will cause a little platform on the inside of the case to rise up on two delicate wires that are attached to the hinges on the inside of the lid. This is the platform on which the perfume bottle would rest.
To close the lid of this case, just push it down, and it will snap shut.
The inside of the case smells very faintly of perfume. There are also some scratches and tarnishes on the case, both inside and out, which I tried to show in some of the photos. (It was hard to capture that, due to the glare caused by the brass and by the light overhead.)
The front of the case has a ridged blue finger grip and the engraved Coty logo. The back of the case says, toward the bottom, "COTY" and "PARIS" and "NEW YORK." The platform on the inside of the case says "PAT PEND," short for "patent pending."
I do not have the right kind of Coty bottle that fits inside this case, but you may be able to purchase it separately from another seller on eBay if you don't already own it.
