Vintage Jean Patou JOY Perfume Parfum Bottle in original fitted box 1940's
This bottle was purchased by my father (Canadian Army) in France in 1944 or 1945 and given to my mother on his return to England.
I think this is the 1/4 oz size, the bottle is approx. 2 1/8 inches tall. The box measures approx. 3 1/4" x 2 3/4".
The box shows, to be expected, signs of age on the outside. One edge of the box is torn off but still there. (see pics) The bottle is in good condition and fits snugly in the fitted box.
I have not tried to open it and it is hard to see, even with a bright light, through the black glass, but I think it retains some of its original contents.
